Stories from the British Isles
In this programme Georgiana tells stories that have been passed down by word of mouth. Tales told over the centuries from grandfather to grandson, mother to daughter. She has collected the stories herself– one from her own mother, another from a Scottish traveller, a third from an Irish computor programmer.
The aim of this session is to make you laugh and think and also shed a tear.
Amongst other tales are the story of the man who had no story, the story of man who had his own name for everything, and the story of the girl who fell in love with a seal.
